Question by Aarish: What happens if you buy an iphone 4 and unlock it?
Hi, I want to purchase an iphone 4 from America for 0 and get it to india without even turning it on or activating it and then getting it unlocked there. Will this work because I don’t want to pay 0 for an unlocked one while it only costs to unlock it in India.
Oh, and does the contract start even if you don’t switch the phone on?

Your contracts starts once you sign them – if you buy and they give you the phone without sigining the contract then you can do what ever you want (BUT I doubt they will give you a phone without a contract!)

Second question- you can unlock , but once it connects to any network- Apple is smart enough to push an update and re-lock your phone…
so will do no good to you

Question by happyasapeach: Using the Iphone 4, can you use the Facetime application and webcam with a person without an Iphone 4?
For example, I have an Iphone 4 and I want to use the Facetime app to webcam with a person with a regular webcam (Oovoo or Tokbox or Skype). Is that possible ?

no its not possible. In a few weeks or months, im sure they will have an update that allows facetime to other phones and computers.

Website: zijric.com In this video I talk about the current State of Jailbreak. Apple has just released iOS 4.0.1 for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. It is a very small change from 4.0 as it only consists of the updated signal bars nevertheless as always you will lose your jailbreak if you update so I recommend holding off for now. iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad also was released today. It contains a fix for the Wi-Fi issues as well as some general bug fixes but it also shuts down the exploit Spirit uses to jailbreak. If you have jailbroken your iPad I highly recommend to not upgrade to 3.2.1 as it may be a while until there is a working jailbreak on iOS 3.2.1. Lastly I discuss the jailbreaking situation on iOS 4.1 beta for the iPhone and iPod touch that was released yesterday. At first glance it seems like 4.1 won’t be any trouble to jailbreak as you can even use redsn0w 0.9.5 to jailbreak it however there likely will be changes between now and the final release.
