Ugh, why didn’t they put TWO usb ports in there. That way I can charge my iPhone and iPad and my Macbook Pro at the same time…

@danielp1213 – if you have an older MacBook it won’t output enough wattage to charge the iPad. The iPad requires 10V of power, many USB ports on mobile computers are around 5V. I do agree the price is a bit steep for what it is, but I think it’s a decent solution to having to carry multiple chargers around.

@Jacobsenacc – yes, but you need to realize this. Those 3 products have out sold and over sold the other products you have mentioned. The sheer market share of the iPad, iPhone and iPod far surpass anything HTC, Samsung, and other brands have made. You need to look at it in the terms of the mass quantity of the device that have been manufactured. – I think it’s rather impractical to want to plug in a guitar amp, monitors, etc. Those draw more than 10W of power.

@1stghostshadow 3 products, iPod, iPad & iPhone. Sure is a wide range.
Compared to Other PmP’s, Other tablets, E-readers, Blackberry phones, nokia phones, HTC phones, Sansung phones, (As stated before) Generic circular sockets as such with musical keyboards, Guitas/bass amps, some power adaptors, printers, some televisions, some Computer monitors, some game controllers, Digital camera’s… should I go on?

@Jacobsenacc Considering the copious amounts of Apple devices that are out there, I don’t think it’s a limited market at all.

@koalabear2 Unless the macs have “3x usb power” usb ports than no. 3x usb power is paranthesized because I believe that’s what it is called, not sure if it actually delivers 3x the power to the usb plug.

Wait what, you cant just recharge your iPad through the USB from your mac?

Why only apple products, you’re aiming at possibly a far too small area, only a SINGLE connector branch.
There is Mini-USB for some phones and MP3 players.
Make a multi-adapter (4 different sized circular connectors and a faux-8v battery connecter to name a few), Volt and amperage dials and a polarity swtich in a box that can change from a UK to a US plug would be extremely helpful…

@danielp1213 The point of the charger is the faster charging times.. when you plug your ipad into your mac it takes much longer to charge with a standard cable due to lower wattage..not so with theirs.

It went over this in the video, which i guess you missed? Im not saying this is the best thing since sliced bread, but its a step up if your a traveler of just have some money to burn.

@callowaymotorcompany I did haha. Oh and read what is says in the description. “That means you can charge your MacBook + iPad or iPhone at the same time using one wall outlet.” they are saying i have to spend an extra $35 to charge my macbook and iPad. Pluging in my macbook only uses one outlet and then pluging my ipad into my macbook still only uses one outlet. I am just saying people should think before they spend money on something that offers a “solution” when its already been taken care of.

@isaaclikeafox So the market is only 490 million people have it? That’s 190 million more people then live in the USA. So that would make it an insanely huge market.
